When the current passes through the resistor, the work consumes electricity and generates heat, which is called the thermal effect. The people who came to this conclusion are Joule, a scientist from the United Kingdom, and Lenz, a scientist from Erros, so this conclusion is generally called Joule's law and Lenz's law.


In order for the resistance wire to heat up, it must have a suitable resistivity. If the resistivity is too large or too small, the shape of the required resistance wire will become very large or small, very short or very long, which is used in many electric heaters regardless of power. This is one point; another point is that for the melting point requirement, the melting point must be high, and it cannot be melted as soon as it heats up.
